Edmonton – Despite recent strides in gender equality, more must be done to address Alberta’s 60-cents-on-the-dollar pay gap – the highest pay gap in the country – and Alberta’s high rates of domestic violence, says Alberta’s largest worker advocacy organization.

2023 IAM Spring Scholarships
Once again, Local 99 is will be looking for 2 individuals for our $999.00 scholarships. One scholarship will be awarded a post secondary student and one will go to a grade 12 student who's enrolling in a post secondary education. Eligibility is limited to members and their immediate family. feel free to send an email with your contact information, proof of enrollment in a post-secondary course and most recent transcripts to LL99Executive@iamaw99.ca prior to April 12th 2023. Winners will be selected based on transcripts by LL99's Executive and announced at April's membership meeting.

Red Deer Membership meetings
January's membership meetings for Local 99 will be held in Red Deer at the Radisson Hotel at 6700 - 67th st at 1:30pm, 3:00pm, and 5:00pm. There will be second reading of bylaws, so it is essential that we reach a quorum of 25 members. Please attend if possible. A printable version of the meeting notice can be downloaded from here.
